Currently Involved In:

I am currently involved in the research on Vibrio sp. Vibrio cholera is the causative agent of cholera, a severe epidemic diarrhea disease that takes away thousands of life each year. Other pathogenic Vibrio includes V. parahaemolyticus, which causes food-borne gastroenteritis pandemic, and V. vulnificus, which is the leading cause of death related to sea-food consumption. I am particularly interested in the genetics and evolution of surface polysaccharides in the Vibrio.
