Prototypical Schedule
A total of 30 months (32 four week blocks) of anatomic pathology and 18 months (20 four week blocks) of clinical pathology are required over the four year AP/CP training program. These are completed in thirteen, 4 week blocks each per year (52, four week blocks total). Approximately one third of the residents' AP training is achieved at the Malcom Randall Veterans Administration Medical Center (MRVAMC) that is directly across the street from Shands Hospital. The MRVAMC is staffed by University of Florida faculty to insure the same high level of expertise at the MRVAMC as the University of Florida Health Science Center.
