Group Health Plan
Humana/ChoiceCare
The plan provides coverage for the employee, the spouse of an eligible employee, and children. A prescription drug plan is included in the benefits.

Professional Liability
During your residency training, you are personally immune from civil liabilities from events that occur during the course of your employment. You also receive personal professional liability protection for Good Samaritan, pre-approved community service work, and job assignments outside of Florida.

Annual Leave
15 working days per year in addition to official holidays. Leave can be carried over to the next year up to a maximum of 25 days. (An additional 2 days of leave around Christmas or New Year's has been provided in the past though not guaranteed.)

Sick Leave
10 working days per year with carry over up to a maximum of 35 days. May be taken for personal illness or death/illness of family members.

Administrative Leave
15 days per year maximum (5 per year for PGY1) for professional meetings, seminars, exams, and jury duty.

Book fund
$500 per year for books and/or travel. Additionally, up to $1000/conference travel supplement is available for poster or podium presentation at a national meeting.

Recreation
At 46,000 students, UF is one of the five largest universities in the nation. This large university community offers a wide range of cultural, artistic, athletic, and outdoor events and activities. As UF faculty, access to University swimming pools/gymnasiums, Reitz Student Union, and Lake Wauberg is also available (for an additional fee in some cases).

Unpaid Leave
For maternity/paternity leave etc. Insurance benefits are covered for up to two months (additional months may be covered by the resident).

Life Insurance
Group Term life insurance of $10,000 is provided. (Provident/UNUM Life Insurance Company)

Accidental Death and Dismemberment
Pays an additional $10,000 on top of $10,000 from life insurance if death is accidental. (Provident/UNUM Life Insurance Company)

Long Term Disability Insurance
The monthly benefit is equal to 60% of the first $3,333 monthly salary to a maximum monthly benefit of $2,000 reduced by benefit offsets. (Provident Life and Accident)
