Brief Biography

After earning her M.D. and M.S. degrees from Beijing Medical University, Dr. Yang carried out postdoctoral research in the Department of Biochemistry & Biophysics, University of Pennsylvania, where she later held appointments as Research Assistant Professor and Adjunct Assistant Professor. Dr. Yang received her Anatomic Pathology residency training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, her Clinical Pathology residency training at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, and her subspecialty fellowship training in Hematopathology at the University of Florida College of Medicine. She is certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (2000) and in her subspecialty Board in Hematopathology (2001). She was recruited to the Department of Pathology, Immunology, & Laboratory Medicine of the University of Florida as Assistant Professor in 2001 and was promoted to Associate Professor in July 2006.
