Dermatopathology
Accurate diagnosis of cutaneous diseases is a key to providing high quality dermatologic patient care. The mission of the Dermatopathology Unit of the University of Florida is to provide rapid, accurate, and high quality pathologic diagnosis related to skin and its appendages. Management of patients with skin diseases is greatly influenced by the evaluation of these biopsy specimens.
The Dermatopathology Unit of the University of Florida provides rapid, accurate dermatopathology services, including inflammatory, neoplastic bullous, and other rare diseases of the skin. Our service is supported by state of the art immunohistochemistry and molecular pathology laboratories for the study of skin neoplasms and lymphoproliferative disorders.
