The University of Florida Diagnostic Reference Laboratories (UF DRL) is a resource for physicians throughout the Southeast. We offer a range of diagnostic and prognostic tests that include applications of advanced technology and the latest research findings.
Expert diagnostic services include Surgical Pathology, Dermatopathology, Quantitative Pathology for tumor analysis, Molecular Diagnostics, Forensic Toxicology, Parentage Testing, and Endocrine Autoantibodies. We are committed to improvement in diagnostic laboratory testing through research and technological development.
Our professional staff provides interpretation of test results, as well as assistance in the technical aspects of the assays. The consultative help you receive comes from College of Medicine faculty members whose daily involvement in clinical research and teaching helps them keep abreast of new tests and technologies. Research is the catalyst for refinement of the assays performed at UF DRL. We continually seek new knowledge while practicing state-of-the-art laboratory medicine
The faculty and staff of the UF Diagnostic Reference Laboratories are committed to providing you with high quality, efficient and reliable service, and meaningful interpretation of test results. Our service commitment is backed by a staff of qualified technologists who receive ongoing training and continuing education. Our laboratories participate in a variety of programs for proficiency evaluation and comprehensive quality control and continued quality improvement.
The University of Florida Diagnostic Reference Laboratories maintains both state and federal licensure and certification. These laboratory services have been consolidated, since 1988, within the College of Medicine's Department of Pathology, Immunology, and Laboratory Medicine.
