Urologic Pathology

The division of Urologic Pathology is dedicated to providing outstanding, state-of-the-art diagnostic services to patients at Shands - University of Florida health science center and support the Genitourinary Oncology program of the department of Urology, one of the leading academic urology departments in the Southeastern United States. We are also committed to providing the same level of service to our outside consultative services. The division of Urologic Pathology is staffed by pathologists with subspecialty expertise and research interest in Urologic pathology; expertise that is reinforced by the high volume of clinical specimens reviewed within the department. The division interprets biopsies and surgical resections from the bladder, prostate, testis, penis and kidneys. Our goals are to promote outstanding patient care and physician satisfaction in our diagnostic and consultative services and advance clinical and translational research.
