The University of Florida owns all property acquired with funds administered by or under the control of the University. This includes property purchased on grants. Once a contract or grant expires, if the granting agency does not have a need for the property, title to the property reverts to the University of Florida.
UF Asset Management Services establishes uniform directives and procedures for accountability and control of state-owned equipment entrusted to the care of University of Florida faculty and staff.
Before you:
- Move a piece of equipment to a different room
- Loan a piece of equipment to another investigator, either in the Pathology Department or another department
- Dispose of a piece of equipment
- Trade in a piece of equipment toward the purchase of a new item
- Donate a piece of equipment to anyone or any entity
