Stem Cell Mission
The goal of the University of Florida's Dept of Pathology Researchers' involved in stem cell biology is to bring together a diverse spectrum of stem cell researchers to understand the key mechanisms involved in stem cell activation, proliferation and differentiation. In addition, our intention is to define what role(s) stem cells may participate in gene delivery as a potential pathway in correcting inherit metabolic disorders. Lastly our objective is to establish a cohesive collaborative research environment in order to refine basic research technologies allowing progression towards clinical applications.
